The Exploration Stage processes assure mutual team agreement and commitment to an initiative before proceeding with its adoption. Both the district team and its organization need to understand what is to be done, how it will be done, and the resources and timelines for completion. These processes require comprehensive and thorough consideration. The key outcomes of the Exploration Stage include:

  1. Establishing a Team
  2. Identifying Program Improvement Needs
  3. Selecting and Defining an Initiative
  4. Assessing Fit and Feasibility
  5. Developing a Communication Plan
